YEARLY ANGLING AWARD DIVISIONS

Master Angler

Top overall combined points leader, all zones, all divisions. Must qualify with a minimum 15 species overall with at least 3 species each in Spin, Plug and Fly Casting Divisions. Is not eligible for another division championship during the same angling year.

Fresh Water Master Angler

Top overall angler with the most points in freshwater. Must have at least 9 different species with at least 3 species each in Spin, Plug and Fly Casting Divisions.

Zone Master Angler

Each Zone will have a Master Angler completing the same requirements as the overall Master Angler.

Spin Master Angler

The combined points in the Spin Casting Division entering at least 10 different species for that particular division.

Plug Master Angler

The combined points in the Plug Casting Division entering at least 10 different species that particular division.

Fly Master Angler

The combined points in the Fly Casting Division entering at least 10 different species that particular division.

Zone Casting Division Master Anglers

Awarded to the angler with the greatest number of points in each casting division for each zone with the same requirements as above.

NOTE: No angler may win more than one casting Division in the same angling Year. Awards will be based on the Division where the angler has achieved the greatest number of points. Angling Awards for a particular Division may only be repeated by a winning angler once every four years.

GAR WOOD AWARD

The Member who, during the angling year, makes the greatest total number of entries of released sailfish, spearfish and marlin, will be honored with the Gar Wood Award. This member must have at least 5 release entries of these species.

 CARLTON TWEED SPIN ANNUAL AWARD

The Member who during the angling year has the top points fish in the Spin Division.

 JACK BRYSON PLUG ANNUAL AWARD

The Member who during the angling year has the top point fish in the Plug Division.

 C. SCOTT FLETCHER FLY ANNUAL AWARD

The Member who during the angling year has the top point fish in the Fly Division.

 EDWARD W. "LUKE" GORHAM ANNUAL CASTING AWARD

The Member scoring the most combined points in the Fly, Spin and Plug Tackle Divisions, with a minimum of 2 weighed species entered from each Division. No member will be permitted to hold the Gorham Trophy more than once in 4 years.

 JOHN EMERY MEMORIAL AWARD

Awarded annually to the Member who makes the highest individual fish points entries in each of the Fly Fishing Categories. To qualify, an angler must enter at least one fish worth over 200 points in four of the five fly fishing categories.

CITATION CATCHES

Fish worth 200 points or more will qualify as a “citation” if the angler requests. The “citation” will be e-mailed for downloading.
